Our campaign will change students' lives

Financial aid attracts the most accomplished and deserving students, regardless of family resources. Scholarships and fellowships make students more likely to attend URI, and they underscore our mission as a state flagship university of providing access and opportunity. They can free students from debt, set them up for career success, and in some cases make the difference between dropping out and completing a degree.

  • Endowed scholarships provide permanent funding, welcoming generations of students and creating a shared bond among recipients.
  • Current-use scholarships, including the RhodyNow: Scholarship, address current need to help today’s students achieve their ambitious goals.
  • Graduate fellowships strengthen our graduate programs, inviting dedicated scholars to do deep research and enrich the academic community with their ideas.

“Going to college out of state had been my dream after living in the same small town my entire life. With the scholarships from URI, my dream was able to come true.”
